Chief Executive Officer
Stephen Imrie is the CEO of Treehouse Queanbeyan and is focused on strengthening the sustainability of the organisation, implementing best practice, and building operational capacity to support Treehouse’s mission of seeing every family valued and every journey supported.
Stephen is a dedicated professional with more than twenty years’ experience across the community, health, and disability sectors, including over ten years in management and executive leadership roles.
Drawing on Community Sector Management training and a Master of Business, he is passionate about driving positive, sustainable change within Treehouse, the local community, and the broader regional community. Stephen believes there is strength in values-based partnerships that create meaningful and lasting impact.
As a leader, Stephen is committed to ensuring that an organisation’s vision and mission are embedded throughout every level of operations and service delivery.

DIRECTOR of Early Childhood Interventions
Karen Mills is an Early Intervention teacher and has worked in preschools, childcare centres, and schools across NSW, the ACT, and Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory for over 35 years. Karen’s passion is supporting children with additional needs, and their families. Karen completed a Masters of Special Education, majoring in Autism Spectrum Disorders, at University of Canberra. Karen has been with Treehouse Queanbeyan since 2005.
Karen leads and manages the dedicated Treehouse team with a strong commitment to the vision of the organisation’s founders — ensuring families with concerns about their child’s development can access timely support, guidance, and early intervention services.
Karen has additional training in Circle of Security and Stepping Stones Triple P, programs designed to strengthen the connection between parents, carers, and children while promoting positive behaviour and healthy development.
Karen’s motivation is to see every child learn, progress, and experience a happy and fulfilling life
Director of Finance and HR
Sam is an experienced Finance and HR Director with a strong commitment to supporting children, families, and staff within the disability sector. As both a professional and a parent with lived experience, Sam brings genuine empathy, understanding, and compassion to her role at Treehouse Queanbeyan.
With extensive experience in finance and people management, Sam plays an integral role in ensuring Treehouse remains sustainable, supportive, and focused on delivering high-quality services to families in the community. Sam is passionate about creating systems and environments that not only support staff to thrive, but also ensure families feel welcomed, heard, and understood throughout their journey.
Sam understands the challenges families can face when navigating disability supports and is dedicated to helping create a service culture built on kindness, respect, inclusion, and practical support.
Administration Officer / NDIS Plan Management Liaison
Kelly is a dedicated and compassionate Plan Manager liaison who is passionate about supporting participants and families to navigate the NDIS with confidence and ease. Known for always going the extra mile, Kelly is committed to providing responsive, reliable, and personalised support to ensure participants receive the most from their plans and funding.
Alongside plan management liaison, Kelly also provides administration and reception support to the organisation, helping create a welcoming and organised environment for participants, families, and staff. Kelly plays an important role in ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and that every person feels supported from their very first interaction.
Kelly values building genuine relationships and takes pride in making the process simpler, less stressful, and more empowering for the people and families Treehouse supports.
Administration Assistant
Linda is a friendly and welcoming Receptionist and Administration Assistant at Treehouse Queanbeyan. Often the first point of contact for families and visitors, Linda plays an important role in creating a warm, supportive, and professional first impression.
With a calm and approachable manner, Linda helps ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service, providing administrative support to staff and assisting families with enquiries, bookings, and general information.
Linda is passionate about making every family feel comfortable and supported from the moment they walk through the door, contributing to a positive and inclusive environment for all.

Stronger Pathways to Preschool Program
Deb is a dedicated teacher who leads the Stronger Pathways to Preschool program at Treehouse Queanbeyan. She is passionate about supporting young children to build the foundational skills needed for a confident and successful transition into preschool and early learning environments.
Through the program, Deb focuses on early learning, social engagement, communication, and school readiness skills, using play-based and strengths-focused approaches tailored to each child’s developmental needs. She works closely with families to provide guidance, practical strategies, and consistent support to ensure children feel prepared and confident as they move into their next stage of learning.
Deb is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child is supported to thrive and reach their potential.
Stronger Pathways to Preschool Program / Early Intervention Teacher
With over twenty years of experience in the Early Childhood and Special Education sectors, Caryn is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and the families who care for them. Caryn holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Learning Management (Early Childhood) and a Master’s Degree in Education (Special Education). Throughout her career, Caryn has advocated for equitable and inclusive education, while supporting educators to create diverse, safe, and inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive.
Caryn is deeply committed to empowering parents and caregivers through the daily challenges and successes of raising children with additional needs. Caryn strives to provide a caring, accepting, and supportive environment where families feel valued and understood. Caryn strongly believes that the best educators are lifelong learners, and continually seeks to learn from the children, families, and colleagues she works alongside.

Occupational Therapist
Olena is an Occupational Therapist who specialises in early intervention and developmental support for children aged 0–5 years. She is passionate about helping young children build strong foundations for learning, development, and everyday participation during their most formative years.
Olena takes a strengths-based approach to therapy, focusing on each child’s unique abilities, interests, and emerging skills. She works closely with families to develop practical, achievable strategies that can be embedded into daily routines, supporting progress in areas such as play, motor skills, self-care, regulation, and early social engagement.
With a warm and collaborative style, Olena is committed to empowering families to feel confident and capable in supporting their child’s development. Her work is centred on creating meaningful, functional outcomes that help children thrive in home, community, and early learning environments.
Early Intervention Educator / KEY WORKER
Stassia is an experienced early educator who has been part of the Treehouse Queanbeyan team for over 20 years. During this time, she has supported hundreds of children and families, bringing consistent passion, energy, and dedication to helping children achieve their developmental goals.
Stassia has specialist skills in speech therapy assistance (Level 2) and is PPP parenting group trained. She works closely alongside therapists and families to support communication development in young children, and is passionate about passing on her lived experience to support and empower other parents. She is committed to creating engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning environments where each child is encouraged to build confidence and develop essential early communication skills.
Known for her friendly, warm, and professional approach, Stassia takes pride in forming strong relationships with children and families, ensuring they feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout their early intervention journey.

Occupational Therapist
Victor is a vibrant and dedicated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting young people with disability and neurodiversity to build confidence, independence and meaningful life skills. Known for his high energy and ability to connect with young people, Victor creates engaging and supportive therapy environments where children and adolescents feel comfortable being themselves.
Victor is a neuro-affirming practitioner who takes a strengths-based, play-based and relationship-focused approach, using each young person’s abilities, goals and interests to support engagement and learning. He is also a certified LEGO® Based Therapy facilitator and enjoys using LEGO® play to support social communication, teamwork, problem-solving, confidence, fine motor skills and emotional regulation.
Victor works collaboratively with families, schools and support networks to develop practical strategies that help young people thrive across home, school and community settings. He also enjoys using sports and movement-based activities to make therapy fun, motivating and practical. With a genuine passion for helping others, Victor is dedicated to empowering young people to reach their full potential while ensuring families feel supported throughout the journey.
Speech Pathologist
Annie is an experienced speech pathologist who specialises in working with children with disability and developmental delay. She is passionate about supporting children to develop their communication skills, confidence, and ability to engage meaningfully with the world around them.
With a strong focus on early intervention, Annie works collaboratively with families, educators, and other allied health professionals to provide individualised, goal-driven therapy that meets each child’s unique needs. She supports children across a range of communication areas including speech sounds, language development, social communication, and early literacy skills.
Annie takes a warm, strengths-based, and family-centred approach to therapy, ensuring sessions are engaging, and tailored to each child’s interests. Her goal is to empower children to find their voice and to support families to feel confident in continuing communication development beyond therapy sessions.

Social Worker / Keyworker
Louisa is an experienced social worker who is passionate about providing holistic support to families of children with disability. She works closely with parents, carers, and children to help strengthen family wellbeing, build confidence, and connect families with the supports they need to thrive.
Louisa specialises in family support, case management, and parenting education, taking a compassionate and practical approach to helping families navigate the challenges that can arise throughout their journey. She has experience delivering parenting programs and supporting families to develop strategies that promote positive relationships, emotional wellbeing, and healthy child development.
Louisa is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where families feel heard, valued, and empowered. Her goal is to ensure every family feels supported not only in meeting immediate needs, but also in building long-term resilience and connection.
Early Intervention Teacher / Key Worker
Mel is a highly experienced Early Intervention Teacher with over 25 years of practice supporting young children and their families. She brings extensive expertise in early learning, development, and inclusive education for children aged 0–5 years (and above).
Throughout her career, Mel has developed specialist skills in supporting children with global developmental delay and disability, with a strong focus on early intervention and family-centred practice. She has undertaken additional training in language and speech therapy support, PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) approaches, ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) training, Behavioural support, Key Word Sign, and PEG feeding support.
Mel is deeply passionate about helping young children communicate, connect, and engage with the world around them. She takes a patient, strengths-based, and highly individualised approach, working closely with families to embed practical strategies into everyday routines. Her goal is to support each child to reach their potential in a nurturing, inclusive, and empowering environment.
Key Worker
Grace holds a background in psychological science and a Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies. She is a dedicated early intervention keyworker who specialises in supporting children aged 0–5 years during their critical early developmental years.
Grace is passionate about helping young children grow in confidence, communication, and independence through individualised, play-based therapy. She takes a strengths-based and family-centred approach, working closely with parents and carers to build practical strategies that can be embedded into everyday routines.
In her keyworker role, Grace provides coordinated, individual therapy and support that brings together families, educators, and allied health professionals to achieve meaningful developmental outcomes. She is deeply committed to supporting both children and families to reach their full potential and to feel empowered throughout their early intervention journey.
POSITIVE BEHAVIOURAL SUPPORT worker
Raufa is a Positive Behaviour Support trained practitioner who is passionate about early intervention and supporting young children to build positive skills, confidence, and independence from the earliest stages of development. Currently at Treehouse, Raufa is working as an early educator (soon to move to the PBS role), bringing a strong understanding of child development and learning into her therapeutic approach.
Raufa is dedicated to creating supportive, predictable, and nurturing environments where children feel safe, understood, and capable of success. Her work focuses on identifying the underlying needs behind behaviours and developing practical, strengths-based strategies that help children communicate, regulate emotions, and engage more effectively with others.
With a strong commitment to collaboration, Raufa works closely with families, therapy assistants, educators, and our multidisciplinary team to ensure consistency and meaningful progress across home, school, and community settings. Raufa is passionate about helping children get the best possible start in life through compassionate, evidence-informed early intervention.
Tara Parker is an experienced psychologist with more than 30 years working across the early childhood, disability, and family support sectors. She specialises in early childhood intervention and the assessment and diagnosis of neurodivergent children, supporting families to better understand their child’s strengths, challenges, and developmental needs.
Tara is passionate about providing evidence-based, family-centred support that empowers children to thrive across home, educational, and community settings. Her extensive experience includes working collaboratively with families, educators, allied health professionals, and support services to deliver practical strategies and tailored interventions that promote positive developmental outcomes.
Tara is able to conduct assessments and diagnoses, available through telehealth appoitnments.

Early Intervention Assistant
Harumi is an early educator and therapy assistant who is passionate about supporting young children to learn, grow, and develop confidence in their everyday skills. She works closely with children, families, and therapists to help embed learning and therapeutic strategies into meaningful, play-based experiences.
Harumi brings a warm, patient, and supportive approach to her work, creating safe and engaging environments where children feel encouraged to explore and succeed. She is committed to helping each child reach their developmental goals while ensuring families feel supported and included throughout their journey.
